Highlights  of  Ushuaia

The tour starts at the port of Ushuaia, from this point we drive to the city and its surrounding main panoramic view points to enjoy the southernmost city in the world most stunning side!

1. La Misión neighborhood

The first stop is in La Misión Alta neighborhood. This place has been declared as cultural heritage, on ground of being the host of the first European settlement in Fuegian lands. It provides a charming view of the city and its whereabouts. Between land and the Bahía Encerrada Ecological Reserve, this neighborhood offers an approach to the history and nature of Ushuaia combined in one place.

2. Martial Glacier viewpoint

We continue our way to the Martial Glacier, one of the most important sources of water for the city where it is also possible to enjoy mountain activities. From this point we can contemplate a panoramic view of Ushuaia Bay, the Beagle Channel and its surroundings. The subantarctic forest and the mountains offer a wonderful landscape that we will be able to take all in during a one-hour-long hiking trail.aproximadamente una hora de duración.

3. Carbajal Valley

We take the National Route N°3 and drive away from the Beagle Channel to immerse ourselves in the Andes Mountain Range; passing by the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mounts.
Our next stop: Carbajal Valley viewpoint. Where we discover the oldest traces of the ice age and the ecosystem originated after it: mountains with dramatic shapes, small glaciers, perpetual snow, peat bogs and forest; an introduction to the geography of the fantastic Tierra del Fuego.

4. Maritime and Prison Museum

We visit the Maritime and Prison Museum to learn the details about the history and birth of Ushuaia. In its building was located the prison that held hostage the most terrible criminals of Argentina and nowadays it is a treasured place with an important number of museums: the Maritime Museum, the Prison Museum, the Antarctic Museum and the Marine Art Museum.
